Becky Sakai, DVM

Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Dermatology

Dr. Sakai started her educational journey in California, at UC Berkeley. She then completed veterinary school at Kansas State University, a veterinary internship in New Jersey, and finally a veterinary dermatology residency at Iowa State University. Dr. Sakai earned board certification from the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2011. She made her way back to California in 2011 to begin practicing veterinary dermatology.

Dr. Sakai enjoys working with primary care veterinarians, veterinary staff, and pet owners to improve the quality of life in patients with chronic skin and ear problems such as allergies, autoimmune disease, difficult infections, and more. Dr. Sakai strongly believes in the importance of educating people about their pet’s dermatologic disease, and feels this is an integral part of a successful treatment plan.
