Dr. Glen Burkett was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, and London, England. He received his Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree from Massey University in 1990 and worked as a general practitioner in England and Australia for several years.
In 1993, Dr. Burkett moved to the United States to complete a dermatology residency at The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 1996.
Dr. Burkett practiced as a board-certified veterinary dermatologist in New Jersey and Tampa, Florida, before founding his own practice in Southwest Florida in 2000.
His special interests in dermatology include atopic dermatitis, otitis, multi-drug resistant Staphylococcal infections, and autoimmune skin conditions.
