John Angus, DVM

Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Dermatology

Dr. John Angus graduated from University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. After obtaining his degree in Veterinary Medicine, he worked in a general small animal and emergency practice for five years. He completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Illinois and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in 2003. Dr. Angus joined Animal Dermatology Group in 2007 and supports the medical team at Animal Dermatology Clinic - Pasadena, California.

Dr. Angus has contributed many journal articles, veterinary textbooks, and is a frequent invited speaker at national and international conferences. He has served as a member of Animal Dermatology Group Board of Directors, ACVD Education Committee and as a consultant for Fear Free Pets. Additionally, he is on the editorial boards for the Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association and Veterinary Dermatology, the official journal of the European Society of Veterinary Dermatology.

His professional passions include a special interest ear disease, resistant bacterial skin infections, and the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen to optimize recovery from burns, trauma, non-healing wounds and other applications that speed recovery and relieve suffering in his canine and feline patients.
