M. Kelly Keating, DVM

Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Dermatology, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Pathology

Dr. Keating was born and grew up in Northwest Arkansas and received her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2011, followed by a 3-year anatomic pathology residency at the University of California, Davis, which culminated in board certification with the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2014. She then completed an Infectious Disease Fellowship with the Centers of Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and remained as a Staff Pathologist participating in investigations on emerging disease outbreaks, such as Zika virus and chikungunya virus. Following this, Dr. Keating worked in pharmaceutical discovery and safety assessment with Charles River Laboratories.

Missing the joy and satisfaction of developing a client and patient relationship and always having an interest in dermatology, she decided to transition back into clinical medicine. In 2022, she successfully completed a 3-year American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) residency at Animal Dermatology Clinic - Tustin with the goal of merging her interests of dermatology and dermatopathology. Dr. Keating has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and has a strong interest in veterinary and resident education.
