Lindsay McKay, DVM

Dr. Lindsay McKay received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 2003. She went on to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Berwyn and VCA Aurora in the Chicago suburbs and then completed a three-year residency in Dermatology at VCA Aurora in 2007. She became board certified in dermatology that same year.

Dr. McKay practiced at VCAs in the western suburbs of Chicago for over 20 years before moving to the Nashville area in the summer of 2024. She is now practicing at Animal Dermatology Group - Nashville.

Dr. McKay is actively involved in continuing education speaking locally and nationally. She also enjoys clinical research and has participated in numerous dermatology trials studying novel therapies for canine atopic dermatitis and allergic itch as well as for treatment of allergic disease in cats.

Dr. McKay offers total management of allergic disease including allergy testing and allergen-specific immunotherapy, as well as diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune diseases, alopecias, and chronic recurrent bacterial skin infection, otitis and pododermatitis. Dr. McKay and her dermatology technicians place a high value on client communication and dedication to excellence in dermatology and look forward to helping dogs and cats with their dermatology needs.

Away from work Dr. McKay enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, Siamese cat Eleanor and Terrier Mix Doug. She loves to travel, cook and spend time outdoors, currently learning the game of golf!
