Marissa Ruppel, DVM

Marissa Ruppel grew up in New York and received her veterinary degree from North Carolina State University in 2015. She followed graduation with a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Minnesota. In 2019, she completed a three-year residency in medical oncology at UC Davis, and she has been practicing as a board-certified oncologist in the Bay Area ever since.

Marissa enjoys all aspects of managing complex cancer cases, and she emphasizes the human-animal bond when helping families navigate through the various treatment options for their pets. Her top priority is to ensure that every patient has a great quality of life, regardless of their treatment path, so they can live their fullest and happiest lives!

She lives in Marin with her husband Kyle (also a veterinarian), Labrador retriever (Bailey) and two cats (Mowgli and Albus). In her free time she enjoys hiking, live music, and being outdoors as much as possible!
