Tia Taketa, DVM

Dr. Tia Taketa graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies in 2017. She then worked in general practice for several months before completing a one-year rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. To further pursue her interest in veterinary dermatology, she moved to Oregon where she completed a one-year dermatology internship at SkinVet Clinic near Portland. She moved to Southern California in July 2020 to enter the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) residency program at Animal Dermatology Clinic – Tustin.

Fun Facts:

Dr. Taketa enjoys traveling, cooking, and hiking. She loves staying active and exploring new places, including eateries. She has a Miniature Pinscher named Scooby, who she will occasionally FaceTime with since he currently resides with her family in Hawaii.
