Remington came into my life when he was 6 weeks old, and as most Labradors, he was overly mischievous and what he didn't chew he otherwise destroyed. One day I came home to find he had chewed my 15' cherry tree to the ground. But he quickly learned better manners and became a gentle friend to my cat. Remington liked to play ball, run and jump in lakes, and would insist anyone around him also played ball. He would drop the most slobbery tennis balls in anyone's lap to make sure they knew he wanted to play. It didn't matter who it was: any visitor, the plumber, or the UPS man, Remington would put the tennis balls right in their pocket to make sure they threw the ball for him. He could jump straight up 6 feet or more in the air and catch balls with no problem. We had four wonderful years and
