Meng Siak

meng-edit-3x4-24105.jpg Dr. Siak graduated from Murdoch University Veterinary School, Western Australia, in 2006 with honours. He then spent one year in private practice in tropical far North Queensland, Australia, before returning to Murdoch University to commence an internship in veterinary dermatology. At the end of the internship in 2009, he successfully applied for a veterinary dermatology resident position recognised by the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.

Dr Siak completed the residency in 2012 and successfully became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in 2014. As part of his residency, Dr Siak has published a review of flea management in cats and is currently completing his research into Methicillin Resistant Staphlococcus Pseudintermedius (MRSP) affecting dogs in Western Australia. In 2011, Dr Siak successfully attained membership in Canine Medicine by examination.

Dr Siak sees patients at both the Murdoch University Veterinary Hospitals on Wednesdays to Fridays and at the Perth Veterinary Specialists Clinic on Tuesdays.

When time permits, Dr Siak enjoys training, watching mixed martial arts or attending to the needs of his cat, “Kylie”.
