Wayne Rosenkrantz, DVM

Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Dermatology

Wayne Rosenkrantz is a graduate of the University of California, Davis and completed his residency training in private practice. He is a past-President of the ACVD and is one of the original co-owners of the Animal Dermatology Group and is a current member of ADG Board Of Directors. He actively trains residents in at the ADG- ACVD approved residency training program and participates in clinical research trials and serves on multiple drug company advisory boards.  He has published many articles and book chapters on small animal and equine dermatology, including significant contributions to the text “Current Veterinary Dermatology: The Science and Art of Therapy” (Mosby) as well as the therapy section in the 7th edition of Muller and Kirk’s Small Animal Dermatology. He is also a co-editor of the text “Veterinary Allergy” (Wiley Blackwell). He is a recognized national and international speaker on veterinary dermatology. He has previous served on several World Congress committees as well as the World Congress for Veterinary Dermatology (WAVD) where he was instrumental in the development of the Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) for common skin diseases of companion animals. He was awarded the DVM Pharmaceutical Award of Excellence and the Frank Král award for his contributions to veterinary dermatology. He has special interest and skills in veterinary dermatology therapeutics, feline and equine dermatology, dermatopathology, canine alopecia, immune mediated skin diseases, and the management of chronic allergic skin and ear disease.
