Charli Dong, DVM

Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Dermatology

Dr. Charli Dong is a California native and earned her degree in veterinary medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. She completed her residency at Animal Dermatology Clinic - Pasadena and became a boarded dermatologist with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in 2016.

Dr. Dong is the recipient of the ACVD Resident Research Award in Clinical Science. Her special interests include atopic dermatitis, dermoscopy, video-otoscopy, autoimmune diseases, hair-growth, and clinical research. Currently, her main research is on atopic dermatitis, focusing on developing new diagnostic tests, new therapies and the understanding of the disease. Her goal is to improve the lives of our beloved companions. She has authored and contributed to many veterinary medical publications.

Dr. Dong lectures nationally and internationally, sharing her passion in dermatology with veterinarians. She is also an instructor for the European School of Advanced Veterinary Studies. She helps train residents, veterinary students, and serves on the ACVD Exam Committee.
